The plane was a charter, so we didn't go out of the main
Winnipeg terminal. We were bussed for about a half hour in a circle, waited
at a gate that was locked, and finally got onto the plane. When the flight
crew referred to each other as Captain Ralph and Cabin Attendant Jane, we
knew were not on a major airline. Calm Air is a regional carrier. This is a
turbo jet, and for somebody who gets motion sick, this is the author's worst nightmare
(although a prop plane is even worse). But it turned out to be one of the smoothest
flights we've ever been on. |
